Xtelesis [X-tel-uh-sis]
Noun:
An IP communications integrator specializing in providing voice and data solutions for companies with 5 to 5000+ employees.
An organization founded when two Pac Bell employees knew that the marketplace was missing something. They left Pacific Telesis (or one of its related companies) to form their own company – as "ex–Telesis" alumni. This was the start of something good.
It has a nice ring to it, but what does “IP communications integrator” really mean? Let’s start at the beginning. Xtelesis planted its roots in the data networking industry in California. We were a data VAR (that’s Value Added Reseller) when we opened our doors 13 years ago. We helped companies build their data networks. We resold connectivity from folks like AT&T. Then we made the network better and more secure by supplying our customers with routers, switchers, firewalls, and VPNs and our own engineering expertise. Finally, we took over 24/7 management of our customers’ networks. People were happy. Life was good.
But the marketplace evolved. It was clear by now that the Internet wasn’t a fluke or a fad. We recognized the power of the Internet and saw a way to do even more for our customers by leveraging that power. Our business evolved to include voice networking and IP telephony, then video teleconferencing and mobility. All of these solutions offer companies greater flexibility and functionality in the way they communicate.
By working with Xtelesis, you can be confident that you are getting the right products for your needs and that your communications solutions work together on your network. So, we build the network, we make it better and more secure, then we put IP-based applications on it that help you communicate more effectively. Get it? IP Communications Integrators!
One of the founding members, Scott Strochak, is still at the helm of the company today, guiding Xtelesis on the same principles that guided him and his ex-Telesis colleagues years ago: offer the right products that solve the right problems for our customers and make sure that the solutions work 100% of the time. Our business will continue to grow and evolve as long as yours does. Count on us.
