Wildcard TDM410

Digium Wildcard TDM410 is a half-length PCI 2.2 compatible card that supports FXS and FXO interfaces for connecting analog telephones and lines through a PC, it was developed as a replacement for TDM400P. By using IP-PBX Asterisk Open Source software and a standard PC, the user of Digium Wildcard TDM410 could build a small office telephone system, which will have all of the sophisticated and useful features of modern telecommunications equipment for big business.

Digium Wildcard TDM410 card makes a cost of VoIP-telephony very low. Using X100M and S110M modules with TDM410 card, you can build a solution supporting various phone ports. And in order to scale this solution, you simply have to add additional TDM410P cards with full sets of modules.
Unlike the previous Digium TDM400P card, the new card allows installation of echo cancellation module VPMADT032, which reduces the load on the telephony server and improves the sound quality compared to the software algorithms.
In order to use FXS modules, you have to have a free 12V connector from the server’s power supply block. But it is not required for the operation of FXO modules.

SDP Protocols Are Used To Transmit Media Session Information

In 1998, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) published the specification for a Session Description Protocol or SDP as a format that describes parameters for streaming media. The original IETF Proposed Standard was updated in 2006 as RFC 4566. Although the SDP was created as a feature of Session Announcement Protocol (SAP), it can be used with Real-time Transport Protocol, Real-time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), and Session Initiation Protocol, as well as a standalone protocol. Parameter negotiation, session announcement and session invitation are included in the descriptive sessions from the SDP protocol. Rather than transmit data like other types of protocols, an SDP negotiates between media type endpoints, format and properties involved. A session begins when a connection is established, and the session is terminated only after every endpoint is no longer participating.
