D-Link introduced a Wi-Fi phone, designed in the shell that combines the ability to connect to a wireless network and to use the benefits of IP-telephony in one portable device. Thanks to this Wi-Fi VoIP-phone home and business users get a significant reduction in expenditures for local and long distance calls comparing to standard phone service.

All that is necessary to operate DPH-540 is: wireless 802.11g or 802.11b network with high speed Internet access and a valid VoIP-account. The device is fully autonomous and does not require a computer. Phone can be used at home, office, airport, internet cafe, university campuses or in other places where you have a wireless connection. Increase in the number of wireless hot spots with inexpensive or free high-speed Internet extends the use of VoIP-telephony services.
DPH-540 Wi-Fi-phone has a nice modern design; the body is made in silver and black colors, jacks for connecting the charger and headset are covered with rubber plugs. A bright color LCD display, depending on the situation, displays information such as call history, address book entries, and caller ID (caller ID). Supports redial, mute and hold features. You can change the ringtones, wallpapers, and update "firmware" via a wireless connection.
