Mediant 1000 a media gateway from AudioCodes, which was designed on the basis of modern technologies and fully supports traditional and wireless (including cellular) types of networks. Created in compact 1U chassis media gateway realizes an interface function between TDM and IP networks in corporate or small operator solutions.

Based on Voice over Packet one of innovational technologies by AudioCodes, Mediant 100 is capable of reducing the time required for integrating a service and ensures high level of the reliability of the solution, required for the new generation networks. At the heart of the Mediant 1000 lies the VoIPerfect ™ technology which is common to all AudioCodes products, this technology is the best architecture in its class for creating media gateways.

Mediant 1000 provides excellent mechanisms for connection of traditional phones and IP-PBX to networks or connection of IP-PBX systems to the PSTN. In addition to the functionality provided by traditional media gateways, Mediant 1000 can be used for installation of partner applications, for example, it can act as a platform for IP-PBX systems. Mediant 1000 is tested and provides full interoperability with a large number of media gateways, softswitches, gate-keepers, SIP proxy servers, IP phones, SBC and firewalls from different manufacturers.
