Telekenex - Then and Now

In 1994, three computer-networking innovators, each with a unique vision to develop the Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) market, combined their individual talents to form Telekenex. With expert leadership and technical expertise, Telekenex quickly became the industry leader in CTI development and deployment, doubling sales revenues each of their first two years, while maintaining their quality and commitment to their customers.
In no time, Telekenex had grown quickly enough to be recognized as a market leader by Inc. Magazine and their founders recognized as Entrepreneurs of The Year by Ernst & Young LLP.

This growth significantly broadened Telekenex's IP network capabilities, which led to enhanced voice/data solutions. By listening to the needs of their customers, Telekenex invested in a voice and data network becoming a next-generation service provider in 1996.

Serving enterprises and carriers with a robust national network, and innovative connectivity solutions, Telekenex had become a formidable force in the telecommunications industry. By 2000, Telekenex had arrived as the trendsetter in complete IP networking solutions and providing state-of-the-art VoIP applications.

Today, Telekenex manages an international private IP network that delivers state-of-the-art IP solutions to enterprises and carriers. In 2005, Frost & Sullivan awarded Telekenex a market growth leadership award for their Hosted VoIP solution. Telekenex's focus is driving costs from all the cost centers of businesses.

Telekenex is poised to remain at the forefront of the industry in delivering intelligent IP solutions.

SDP Protocols Are Used To Transmit Media Session Information

SDP Protocols Are Used To Transmit Media Session InformationIn 1998, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) published the specification for a Session Description Protocol or SDP as a format that describes parameters for streaming media. The original IETF Proposed Standard was updated in 2006 as RFC 4566. Although the SDP was created as a feature of Session Announcement Protocol (SAP), it can be used with Real-time Transport Protocol, Real-time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), and Session Initiation Protocol, as well as a standalone protocol. Parameter negotiation, session announcement and session invitation are included in the descriptive sessions from the SDP protocol. Rather than transmit data like other types of protocols, an SDP negotiates between media type endpoints, format and properties involved. A session begins when a connection is established, and the session is terminated only after every endpoint is no longer participating.
