Intralinx architectural network design began its inception ten years ago. The developers with a combined twenty five years of networking, traditional telecom and marketing experience independently saw the incline of telecommunicating trends shifting towards new technology for businesses to effectively streamline their communication.

Intralinx developed an IP Communications system that offers small to medium size businesses a choice between hosted and managed solution that integrates voice, data, internet, video, collaboration, and conferencing services on a single converged platform. Intralinx developers knew that in order for businesses to effectively deploy VoIP the "Quality of Service" had not only meet the industry standard, but had to supersede expectations in order to deliver the crystal clear communications traditional phone services has offered.

By utilizing only business class DSL or dedicated circuits to access our parallel managed network Intralinx is able to deliver our converged solution on a carrier class level, but at business class prices.

VoIP Favors SIP

VoIP Favors SIPSession Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a text-based standard put in place by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and is the primary protocol for Voice over Internet Protocol services. SIP is similar to a MGCP in that it's a signaling protocol that can create, maintain and terminate sessions in IP-based networks. These sessions include multimedia conferencing and two-way phone calls. SIP protocol can run on User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) because it was created to function independently from the underlying Transport Layer as an Application Layer.
